Antitrust accuses Chelyabinsk Region governor of collusion

MOSCOW, Mar 18 (PRIME) -- The Federal Antimonopoly Service has detected an anti-competitive agreement on the construction market with participation of the governor of the Chelyabinsk Region and will send the documents to the Interior Ministry and the Prosecutor General’s office, the authority said in a statement Monday.

According to the statement, an agreement between the governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, the regional road ministry and Yuzhuralmost resulted in Yuzhuralmost getting more than 90% of road construction contracts in the region in 2015–2018.

Yuzhuralmost also struck an anti-competitive agreement with the road ministry of the region. A commission of the Federal Antimonopoly Service discovered 10 auctions for 2.4 billion rubles where the agreement was active, and as a result Yuzhuralmost has won, while the contract price fell by no more than 1.5%.
